Ancient Mars Lake Could Have Supported Life, or Could It?

The Curiosity rover team made an announcement that they have discovered evidence of past fresh waster in  Gale Crater. Now This data is not new because it has been available months and they seem to be ignoring an aspect of the data that goes against habitability at least long-term habitability.

Yes the clay found in the area indicates fresh water disposition but there is also enough the sulfur dioxide, and hydrogen sulfide indicated a past environment of about 3% sulfuric acid and a Ph of around 0.5. It seems that fresh water originally erupted from underground becoming acidic as a result of volcanic activity. The makes is a perfect fit to the Catastrophic Model of Martian geology.

Now there is no evidence of actual life and no evidence of  organic compounds. They only found compounds that life could use if present. This suggests an over eagerness eager to find life on Mars such that any hint a possible habitable puddle of water gets them excited.

Analysis of 500 planets Indicates that Alien life is Impossible.

Dr. Howard Smith said “We have found that most other planets and solar systems are wildly different from our own. They are very hostile to life as we know it,”

The point is that the planets found outside are just too hustle for life. Even Gliese 581 which is the most Earth like planet ever found is still quite hustle to life since it is probably tidally locked to its star. The simple fact is that the more we learn about other planetary systems the less likely that there are any ET’s out there.
